Wrinkles: Need to be washed daily, especially the nose wrinkles. You could use an unscented baby wipe or a cloth with warm water. If the skin becomes irritated apply some Desatin (diaper ointment) to heal and prevent sores. The tail will also need attention if it is tight.

Nose: Olde English Bulldogge Puppy noses tend to become dry and flaky. To treat and prevent this you should rub some Vaseline or Vitamin E oil directly on your puppy's nose.

Eyes: Should be wiped when you wash the wrinkles. Some Olde English Bulldogge Puppy's get reddish-brown stain that looks like tears. There are many products available at the pet store to eliminate and/or prevent this. It is most often caused from the coloring of your dog's food.

Ears: There are many antiseptic products to clean your dog's ears with. Be careful not to go deep into the ear canal, this will hurt your dog and possibly damage his ear drum. This should be done as needed, usually once a week. We recommend getting a demonstration of how this is done form your veterinarian during your first checkup.

Bathing: Your Olde English Bulldogge should only need a bath about once a month. Too much bathing will cause the natural oils to be cut down, leaving your dog's skin dry, flaky and itchy. Always use shampoo specifically for your type of dog (sensitive skin, no tears, whitening, puppy, etc) If your not sure what to use, check with your veterinarian first.

Skin Care: Brush your puppy everyday with a soft bristle brush. Brushing removes dead skin and debris that may cause irritation, and it also reduces shedding.

Nail Care: Clip with specially designed dog nail clippers (available at most pet stores) start by clipping a little off at a time, until you see a circle in the middle of the nail, this is the quick, if you cut it your dog will bleed and cry. Nails should be trimmed every 1 to 2 weeks as needed.

Teeth: you will need to brush your puppy's teeth if you are feeding soft food. Otherwise hard foods, treats and toys should be enough to keep his teeth and gums healthy. If you notice swelling, bleeding or signs of pain while eating, notify your veterinarian.

Feeding: It is important to feed your Olde English Bulldogge a high quality food. The cheaper brands have more fillers and stuff that may not be good for your dog, and may cause skin irritation or allergies. The standard is twice a day for an adult dog and three to four times a day for a puppy. Always have fresh water available.

Fleas: Talk to your veterinarian about what works best for you and your dog.

Shots/Deworming: Your puppy needs a series of shots and wormings for prevention of multiple ailments. Border's Bullies has initiated the series and given you records. Your veterinarian will advise you of what shots and dewormings your puppy will need.

Exercise: Your Olde English Bulldogge does not need much exercise, a walk around the block is perfect. Olde English Bulldogges love to play with toys, a couple of play sessions everyday is plenty, remember not to overheat your dog.

Overheating: It is very, very important to remember that your Olde English Bulldogge can easily get too hot, have a heat stroke and possibly even die. This is due to playing too much or to long, warm temperatures outside, their smaller airways can't get enough oxygen to keep up with the fast pace and cool their bodies down. Always provide fresh water and ice when your dog shows signs of over heating (heavy panting, vomiting, etc.). Never leave your dog outside or in a car unattended.
